Olympic's 717

Sun Oct 20, 2002 5:59 am

I noticed that Olympic is oerating a lot of its former 732 flights with the 717 of Olympic Aviation. What are Olympic's plans with the 717? Is only 3 airframes enough?

Most if not all of the 717 flights are from SKG (OA's 2nd base) to european destinations like LGW, BRU and STR. I don't really know if they intend to buy more aircraft but they look cool wearing a unique Olympic Aviation livery.

Not just cool , awesome !! Nice black bottom and white top. Also Olympic's colour are cool. Grey bottom, white top and a blue line in the middle. Classic. Better than the old black line and far better than the 3 colour (stupid) paint.

And according to B432 they operate many local flights and some flights to Balkans but not Europe. They will retire deffinitely but it's true that they're the best maintained B432 in the world.

I haven't been to a B717 but my experience in 732 and 734 are not good. Too few space. Maybe I've got used to the really nice A300-600 !! Maybe with new 738 will be different.
