What Is Up WitH EVA's Interiors?

Mon Oct 21, 2002 5:39 am

Is EVA planning to change their interiors anytime soon? Their seats (shown below) look awful. Their First Class does nt even have PTVs, and their are no adjustable headrests or any other amenities (even the ones offered in Y on other airlines).

Actually, EVA First Class does have PTVs. They are located in the central armrests. I agree that EVA really needs to upgrade their seats. I'm hoping with the introduction of the A330-200 next year that EVA will have new seats and eventually implement them fleet-wide.

With all of their current fleet going to be retired within the next 5 years, it's unlikely that they'll upgrade the interior.

First phase upgrade in 2003, when A330-200 comes replacing MD11 and B767.

Second phase upgrade is around 2004/05, when B777-200LR/-300ER arrives to replace the entire B747-400.
