AS 412 PDX-BUR Today

Mon Oct 21, 2002 2:33 pm

Does anyone know why AS 412 was diverted to Ontario on Sunday? I was just playing around with the new AS website, and happened to notice this. It looks like they were planning to fly the plane back to Burbank, but decided not to, instead ferrying it from ONT-PDX. The SEA-BUR flight scheduled for roughly the same time operated as scheduled.

I can't figure why they would overfly the original airport?

BUR has had its share of fog recently in the AM hours. Aloha and various other airlines have had the same fate recently.
