Star Airlines, Air Transat.

Has anyone else noticed the remarkable similarities in the tails of the following A330s?

See the star shape.. they look amazingly alike to my eyes, anyone else notice that? why are they so similar? I only note that the star in the tail of the star A330 is higher up than that of Air Transats aircraft, but the image itself looks to be pretty much identical.
Stars other livery is not the same as that on that new A330 as shown by this A320

TS and Star are partners. The common livery reflects their relationship and also facilitates aircraft sharing (which there has not been much of yet).

If memory serves, one TS L15 did servce with Star for a season a couple of years ago. There have been reports this years that TS will send a 332 to Star for winter in return for 2 A320's......but I have not heard any more on this.

Neil.

I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.

Transat actually owns 100% of Star, among other things.

Just to clarify, Transat AT is the parent company of Air Transat, and Star Airlines as well as a tour operator division.
