Sat Nov 02, 2002 4:47 pm

UAL pilots, represented by ALPA, have agreed to accept the management proposal for $2.2 billion in pay cuts over 5 years. This proposal was part of United's Economic Recovery Plan which requires a total of $5.8 billion in concessions from various employee groups. The two other major unions at UAL are AFA representing Flight Attendants and the IAM representing mechanics, rampers and airport agents.

Congratulations. This is vital for the surivival of United Airlines Corp., and when things are better, I hope the pay concessions are reinstated ASAP.
