Air Transat L1011's

Thu Nov 07, 2002 1:33 am

Just a quick question. Does anyone know where Air transats Tristars will be flying to during February? I can not find any useful schedule information anywhere. I see this is my only chance of getting on a Tristar and would go out of my way in order to fly on one. For example do they fly between YUL and YYZ? Any help would be appreciated. I live in the UK and need to get to Florida, I don't mind connections!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Thanks

I can't tell you the exact dates, but I know that since the AT 330 incident last year, which made AT lose their ETOPS certification for their 330's, that they regularly use the 1011's between CDG-YUL, so you might consider doing UK-CDG-YUL-Florida.

Call them up and they will probably tell you what they are using.

Cheers for the info, their flights across the pond are coming out more expensive than most of the scheduled fares I was looking at! It probably won't be possible to get on a tristar but I can always dream.

Air Transat still occasionally use Tristars on the MAN route.

Have you considered any other airlines?
BWIA are currently using Tristars into MAN, but will be changing to a 343 on 2 Feb 2003. They are also using Tristars from LHR. You could go via Port of Spain.

With no disrespect intended towards BWIA, I would not choose to fly with them due to the current state of the airline (financial etc). Thanks for the idea though.I'll just get on the phone to Delta and talk them into reinstating their Tristar fleet!  Wink/being sarcastic
