Egypt Air Flight 990 Crashed 60 Miles..

At approximetely 2:30am Sunday morning a New York ATC reported the loss of Egypt air flight 990 from the radar screen. The aircraft a Boeing 767-300ER, which was delivered to Egypt Air in 1989 and had completed approximetely 7500 cycles and 30,000 flying hours. The aircraft disappeared 60 miles off the coast of Nantucket Island. The aircraft departed New York 2 hours late due to weather conditions, the aircraft finally departed for Cairo around 1:30am. The coast guard was launched a rediculously long 8 hours before reaching the scene at 10:00 am. According to the coast guard there is a debris field of about 50-60 miles with seat-cushions, oxygen masks, life-rafts, and aircraft schrapnol. Egypt Air has reported that there are approx. 199 passengers aboard the flight with 15 crew members, 160 of the passengers are believed to Americans, 62 egyptians, and the rest are unknown. A team of Egypt Air represenatives as well as passengers' families are currently in-flight to New York.
