Yeah, the charter thing may have been a possibility. There have been charters from Iceland on many occasions, but they have mainly been with Icelandair, however, that was a few years ago.
As for the terminal, yes, it is very nice. It should be completed soon I hope. It has been a while since they started.
There were originally supposed to be four bridges, but the airport authority only went with three because Canjet, Canada 3000, etc didn't want to pay for the use of the fourth bridge. There is still a position for the fourth if it is ever needed.
Bridges 2 & 3 are owned by Air Canada and number 1 is owned by the airport authority and is used mainly as an international bridge (thus the reason for the 763 using it). Canjet and Skyservice use our bridges everyday for some of their flights because the airport authority charges more for the use of number 1. I guess you could say that we give Canjet and SS a break when it come to paying for the use of bridges at YT.
CJ and SS can only use our bridges when we don't have any of our own flights arriving during that period when they are here.
