AC A333 Scheduling

Thu Nov 14, 2002 3:10 am

This is related to http://airliners.net/discussions/general_aviation/read.main/963279/

I always wonder how AC can have 6 A333 trans-Atlantic flights every day with 8 A333 in its fleet? How is scheduling done?

Several A333s are used for Toronto-Vancouver-Toronto flights, aswell as 1 or 2 flights a day on Toronto-Montreal-Toronto. In the winter, the A333s are sometimes used on Carrib routes like Toronto-Montego Bay or Toronto-San Juan, but I think this winter, you won't be seeing any A333s down south.

MEL is correct. A combination of YYZ-YVR/YUL and transatlantic flights keep the 8 333's busy.

In summer 2002, the 333 were only scheduled to YYZ-YVR/YUL/LHR/FRA, YUL-CDG/LHR/FRA.

This winter, the 333 will NOT return to YYZ-CUN/SJU.

Hence, these 8 333's are used on only a few routes & visit a few AC stations.

I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.

This winter A333s are only used on three daily plus one thrice weekly transatlantic services, however their usage has been increased on domestic services.
