Alright, I leave my apartment and hear a plane overhead. As I look up, I see your typical wing mounted twin engine commercial jet. However, this particular plane had canards, or something that looked very much like canards. So, being the nerd that I am =), I went in and grabbed my scanner. I figured that he was on approach to KBFI because they usually vector them over my house for approaches there, but as I was scanning, KSEA tower's frequency came on and I'm pretty sure that I heard the pilot of that plane. He asked for the approach lights to be turned on. Then, (I cannot hear the towers response from where I live), he said that the PAPI would be ok.
I figured that this might be a FAA check plane, although I know that they use a smaller business jet to check ILS's. I did a search for 'canards', and only found a few planes, none of which looked even remotely like the plane that I saw. Anyone have any idea what just flew over my head?
I am pretty sure that the pilot used the call sign 'Test' or 'Check' I have kinda forgotten which.
