L-Air seems to be a real venture. They have already signed a LOI for the lease of the 3 ex-Delsey A330-200 in order to operate to the French oversea provinces. There seems to be a market potential for such flights, since Preussag, the owner of Corsair, has indicated they might pull out of the market for these destinations. With AirLib in deep trouble right now, this would only leave Air France as the sole operator providing vital links to these posessions.
Air Austral of Reunion Island has already stepped into this game by leasing 2 B777. They will start flying between RUN and PAR (CDG or ORY) in June 2003.
Lowfarejet - Is not an airline in juristical sense, because they have not received an operations permit by the German aviation authorities. They are planning to wetlease a Hola Airlines B733 in order to fly from HAJ starting in December 2002. IMO this sounds like another stillborn airline idea.
