Lauda & EgyptAir 767 Were Completed At Same Time!

Tue Nov 02, 1999 7:03 am

A theory of some people is that the Egypt Air and Lauda Air B-767-300ER's were completed at the same time and might have the same mistakes. The Egypt Air 767 was #282, while the Lauda Air was #283. They were completed at a time of substantial overtime and just prior to a 48-Day strike at Boeing.

NOTE: Lauda Air 767 Crash delt with Engine Company, not Boeing directly.
