What Is The Best Destination To Survey BA

Sun Nov 17, 2002 12:44 am

I will have to check Ba next week and must fly a business Class destination from at least 10 hours.

I want to go to a city as well where there is something to do.

Any suggestions....

Wherever you go, make sure you fly on an embodied aircraft with the Next Generation products, i.e. New Club World/World Traveller Plus. As a rule of thumb they are everywhere except flights from Gatwick & some 767's. As for choice of destination why not try San Francisco, Rio/Sao (as suggested above) or Mauritius?  Smile Cheers.

Cool, well JNB and NRT are both embodied, the choice I guess depends on whether you like warm or cold weather!! Tokyo will give you the variety of having a day flight, however the night sectors to and from Jo'burg will at least make you appreciate the wonderful flat bed! Either way you'll have a great flight (I hope!!!!!! be kind to us!!!)  Big grin  Smile

If the service is great no problem. If the seats are great no problem. The story is a special about the new lie-flat seats. CX Is not that great, I can tell you. I had lots off back pain after a flight from HGK-SYD. SQ Is good not great. Still have to do Virgin and BA. Then the story is finished.

I will keep you informed...

good for you !

I would go to HKG, amazing beautifull place and lots of flights ..

I hope you are not too long (>72 inches) or claustrofobic (upperdeck window seat).

Luckely the crew are usually very good as is the catering service although food is "handed over" to you instead of placed on your table.

Did BA install power for laptops already ? (not 1.5 yrs ago on my flight.. )

Wow Skippy777, did you get to fly for free or something? Or does your company have to pay for the ticket to get on the survey flight?

@airbus Lover.

No for free, this is a special article about Lie-flat seats, but off course I will do a full survey as well on those flights.

We also pay for our tickets.

I am going to SFO instead. I don't like Tokyo. With Virgin I would like to go to Barbados.

Or maybe Lax

IMO the old big soft seats of NWA are more comfortable then the "flat" ones of Virgin. I least I didn't slide down.

BA Club seat I found a bit narrow and short for my 78 inches & I think the cabin looked a bit messy with all those screens up & down in different directions ..
