Aircraft safely back at the terminal. Not sure if there was actually smoke in the cabin, but passengers will reboard another aircraft for the flight JFK-DEN.

Flyingbronco --

the clock time on these posts is Scandinavian time, so approximately seven hours (give or take Daylight hour) ahead of U.S. Eastern standard. Therefore when he posted on Monday night at about 10 PM, 0406 (AM) on Tuesday is appropriate.

Why does everyone flip whenever a minor thing happens on an airline that they're flying soon? Does a little smoke in the cabin make them a horrible unsafe airline? NO!

Turned out someone smelled something "hot" in the cabin and the plane returned to the airport as a precaution. No smoke in the cabin. No emergency was declared. Evidently someone with an air-band scanner and too much time on their hands splashed it all over the news without even a confirming phone call. I love the media.  Angry

Yeah SegmentKing, I agree, Let's Put them on that old DC-4 that has been sitting in the desert for 23 years. They may actually get to the meeting. I don't want to put them on a brand new A320-232 with jetBlue  Big grin

Hey...I posted OMG I have a friend flying them tomorrow!!!! and it gets deleted as a "low quality post". Why is this? I mean I've read stuff in this forum about a Delta jet blowing a tire on landing or a PTV failing on a Singapore flight and someone responds with OMG, I'm flying them tomorrow, and those stay out there. Is it because I wasn't sincere? Just wondering.

Oh, I know that because she is the one who sends out all of the mail. I got packages from David Neeleman sent through his receptionist Carol Archer.

By the way segmentking, why does that scare you. I would understand if monsters under your bed scared you, or eating food prepared by a chef who served 15 years behind bars because of serving food with arsenic scared you, but why does me knowing the name of his receptionist scare you?

Just wondering.

oh the monsters dont' scare me anymore. I killed most of them by farting.

in regards to the chef trying to serve me arsenic, someone probably paid him to try to kill me  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Jacob's knowing David Neelman's reciptionist's full name isn't so much scary as it is disturbing. I don't even know the full names of the receptionists of the clients I speak to on the phone every day.

Scary to see people this hard core.

I'd bet that BR715-A1-30 knows not only all the names of ppl @ AirTran, but their kids as well.. :-P

On to the post, I tell ya.. My first flight as a F/A, I was unprepared for how much STEAM came from the ovens when we cooked our meals for the pax.. (and the smell too lol).. It looked like smoke, and all it would've taken was one of them to yell FIRE.. but luckily everyone was cool.. That would've been an interesting first flight.. Kinda like if someone saw APU Torching on a 727..  Big grin

Mother: I smell something hot in the cabin
F/A: Turn on your air vent  Smile
