What classes does Air New Zealand have PTVs in? Are they video on demand? Thank you very much!

Air New Zealand has PTVs in First and Business Class on the 747-400s, and Business Class on the 767s (no F class on these). They are not video on demand.

I don't believe ANZ Has PTV's. I flew them from LAX-SYD-LAX in August in coach, and they didn't have any. All we had was the one major screen on the bulkhead for 80 people to watch. Didn't look like Business had them either from what I saw. And first, may have... I can't confirm that. But as for ZK-NBV and ZK-SUH..... nothing!

Air NZ will not have PTV's in economy class until 2004 at the earliest.

PTV's in Business and First Class on 747-400s and 767-300s. First Class and international Business Class on the B767-200 offer Sony Video Walkmans which feature a 'stop pause play' function etc. Not sure about international 737-300's in business. However, definitely no PTV's in economy class on any aircraft.

B-HXB - There are PTVs in Business Class on the 767-200s ZK-NBB and ZK-NBC. ZK-NBA is the one without them. NBA has an older style Business class seat - I am unsure as to why t didn't get newer ones like NBB and NBC.

Actually, I believe the international 737-300s has 6 channel PTVs in Business Class - I haven't had the chance to fly J class on the 733, but I have seen it listed in the entertainment pamphlet.

V/F: I flew NBA AKL/SYD so I assumed that the seat on NBA was representative of all 767-200s. Could the reason why this has the old J class seats because it was the aircraft being used primarily on domestic routes a while back?

NBA is still used domestically!

I think it is now all economy 220 seats or something. She will be retired within the next year so we may never no why the newer seats were installed.

No PTV's in Economy on Air NZ!

Now with Qantas buying a 22.5% stake in Air NZ, PTVs might get installed on the B744s and the B763s very soon.
