Air Canada Returns To Copenhagen

Thu Nov 28, 2002 3:46 pm

From May 2003 Copenhagen will once again see Air Canada linking Denmark and Scandinavia with Toronto. According to Danish travel magazine 'Take Off' Air Canada has applied for 5 weekly slots at CPH from May 2003 and a daily slot from June 2003. The route will not only be a seasonal service though operations may be reduced to 4 or 5 weekly flights during winter months.

There was already a post about this a week ago or so,
but it's great news indeed. Hope to see some variation with the aircrafts though. I already have a lot of those 767-200:

Great news!

A little variet would indeed be lovely, although I wouldn't mind a 767 every now and then. Those PW's (or GE's depending on which ship we're talking about) sure makes it worth watching (& listening!) Big grin

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but Air Canada is dropping Toronto-Charleston, I cant quite remeber as of when but it is soon i believe. People holding tickets will be re-routed through IAD and flown on United Express.

Excellent! This Scandinavian-Canadian salutes the AC return to Copenhagen!

 Big thumbs up

I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.

As I travel to CPH from YYZ at least twice a year (I just returned from CPH via FRA Nov 27), this is VERY good news indeed! Bravo, Air Canada. Hopefully, no more connecting through FRA or CDG! I could never understand just why AC dropped YYZ-CPH completely, as every time I flew this route, the loads were full. If it was a seasonal load factor, they could have reduced as opposed to withdrawing completely. Plus, CPH is the SAS gateway to Scandinavia and Russia, and AC is a Star Alliance partner, so, to me, it makes sense this route is re-opened.

The equipment will most likely remain a B767-200 or 300 series, I would think.

I'd rather see an SAS 767 or 340 flying CPH-YYZ...but this is good too I guess  Smile
