Smallest US Airport With Airline VIP Club

Wed Dec 04, 2002 4:58 pm

What's the smallest US airport that has an airline VIP club?

My guesses:

GSO (US)
ROC (US)
JAX (DL)
AUS (CO)
San Antonio (CO)

Others?

I'd definately go with GSO. Never really could figure out why it was there, although it does seem to get its share of visitors.

Big Tobacco likes to lounge there before flying, is my guess.

It doesn't completely match the topic, but how about the move toward non-airline affiliated club rooms? Since no airline will operate a club here, Fresno (FAT) is currently adding a private members-only room for business and frequent flyers.

Lincoln (LNK) already operates the Lincoln Flyers Club for "Nebraska residents who are premium level members of an airlines Frequent Flyer Program and customers who fly 12 times per year or more from Lincoln "

That may be the smallest airport with any kind of VIP Club. Or does someone know of anyplace smaller?

My guess is it is here for the CEOs of companies and high dollar furniture travelors. (here being GSO)
