Graham- Correct.. If Dubya was flying in a C172 right now, it'd be Air Force 1.. lol

The 757 flew into PTK in October as AF1, as bush was on it..

Clinton flew in VC-9 and C-17 for example, so they were AF1  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

When W. was @ Paris (may 2002), he flew in a VC-32 when he gone to Caen (Normandy). I took a photo, @ Orly, I think it's a rare sight :

VC-25 82-8000 & 92-9000 with VC-32A 99-0003 & 99-0004, together !

http://photos.yahoo.com/kerospotter

Look at "USAF Orly" photo.

By the way, Air Force Two is the callsign of any USAF plane with Vice-president on board.

You are WRONG!!!!

If the president is on ANY AIR FORCE aircraft, it is Air Force One
If the president is on ANY MARINE aircraft, it is Marine One
If the president is on ANY ARMY aircraft, it is Army One
If the president is on ANY CIVILIAN Aircraft (Continental) It is EXECUTIVE ONE.

And for the Navy, I think it's Navy One ?  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Wow, didnt know the President had so many choices on which plane to fly on. I did know about the different call signs for the planes when he is or isn't on it.

Proper grammar requires that the first letter of a proper name be capitalized.

In addition, a reference to a holder of office should be referred to by title.

Examples:

President Bush
Senator Clinton

Hope this helps.

Sccutler,

"Hope this helps."

Actually, it doesn't, but we all appreciate you taking the time to clarify this critical matter anyway. Your comments are profoudly accurate, but like Microsoft tech support, offer no significant value to the discussion whatsoever.  Smokin cool

Cheers,

I think this entire conversation has been a colossal failure.

Sorry guys but I don't understand everything, I simply post a nice pic, we talk about that and everything's all right. I don't think that Sccutler writes is very important, and I think it's off topic. The subject here is aviation, isn't it ?

So let's talk about that.

Thanks
Steph

I wouldn't say this has been a failure, I found it fairly amusing. There is also the remote possibility that someone might actually catch on to some critical facts presented here (related to some extremely popular misconceptions). Probably not though.
