Whose 777 Is In Amarillo, TX Today?

Tue Dec 10, 2002 5:29 am

My dad & I went to the airport to pick up my step-brother's car that he left there when he flew to Las Vegas yesterday, and I saw a 777 sitting outside a hangar that is owned by a large aircraft painting company. It is all white with a small blue bird or something like it on the tail and blue Arabic writing on the fuselage. I couldn't see that there was any other name on it. I was amazed to see it there, as our normal commercial traffic is WN's 737s and ERJs/CRJs from American Eagle, Continental Express, and Atlantic Southeast(Delta Connection). Anyone that might know please tell me.

Thanks

Jason

Sounds like Khalifa to me. Are these the colors you saw?

Khalifa will be getting two ex BA 777s shortly, so it must have been one of them you saw.

Sounds like a match. Will Khalfia keep the GE engines on the 777s?

Sounds like they are painting their 777's in the same paintscheme as this BBJ.

Ya, it is the same as the 737BBJ with an all white tail, except that there was arabic writing on the top of the fusalage, however no Khalifa title on it.

Thanks guys for researching this and telling me, cause I had no idea whose it was.
