Off topic from the accident, from memory I can tell you the following cities were served nonstop from Dulles: Miami, Tampa, Orlando, Raliegh, West Palm Beach, Ft. Myers, Atlanta, New Orleans, Montreal, Boston, Hartford, Chicago Midway, Ft. Lauderdale, and Jacksonville. The next focus cities were to be Orlando and Boston. The Orlando routes were to include Memphis, Boston, Philadelphia and Raliegh initially. Boston was to be Miami, Tampa, Orlando, Philadelphia, Raliegh, and Ft. Lauderdale. Many of these routes did get started prior to the accident in Florida. However, somewhere along the line, Raliegh suddenly gained a slew of new flights and Boston and Orlando were slightly cut back. I do remember Raliegh to Boston, Orlando, Dulles, Atlanta, Philadelphia and I think Tampa. Also I believe Philadelphia to Orlando was added as well as Philadelphia to Tampa. Atlanta served as the main hub with flights to every destination listed above (except Montreal) as well as Dallas, Louisville, Nashville, Jackson, Mobile, Newport News, and Ft. Walton Beach. There may have been a few more as well. After the loss of 592, Akron Canton was started. This was not an original ValuJet city. During the expansion times of 1995 and 1996 I heard the following rumors, although none came to fruition: A new reservations center in Newport News, a MASSIVE expansion at Dulles, new routes to Little Rock, Las Vegas, and Orange County, and a new maintenance base in Orlando. Then Flight 592 happened......oh what could have been.
