DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (CNN) -- A Royal Jordanian airlines flight was prevented from leaving Abu Dhabi for Dubai Sunday after a passenger was found with a bomb, a source from the airline told CNN.
The source said the Airbus A-340 had just landed in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and was due to depart when the man was discovered. It's not clear if he had already boarded the aircraft.
Apparently, crew members noticed the man was acting suspiciously.
He was taken aside and searched, and officials found a bomb on his person.
Passengers were still boarding the aircraft, the source said.
The plane was scheduled to make a stop in Dubai before continuing on to Amman, Jordan.
Airline officials only told passengers there was a technical delay that was preventing the departure of the flight.
The man is being questioned by both UAE and Jordanian officials. His nationality is unknown at this point.
Security at Abu Dhabi Airport is very tight. Royal Jordanian Airlines has its own security guards who re-screen passengers before they board the planes.
