Well, when I travel on medium or long haul flights, I use to buy stuff in a food corner and bring in on board. I don't really like most of catering products, especially those classi small piece of chicken, green peas and hard-boiled potatoes...no need to talk about the classic omelet and sausage before the arrival, yuuuk! Now, about short flights, I don't eat at all....I'm always sick of thos ham-cheese tiny sandwich!
About bad experiences...Once flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur on Malaysian Airlines, I asked if I could have a snack as I was hungry, the FA just told me "listen, I can give you your meal or your omelet but we don't have anything else...", later, he came with small crackers...C'mon, how could I be stuffed with crackers ?
No, till then, I use to bring hamburgers, sushis or chinese food on board...
