Sat Dec 28, 2002 8:43 pm

Hi,

I need to know the aircraft type of N809AA (flight was ATL-MIA and MIA to ATL a few days later in March '91)

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks,

This is probably not very helpful. I was assuming you where looking for which type of airliner you were on in 1991.

N809AA (looking at the FAA's aircraft registration database www.faa.gov) says that two aircraft have used that registration:

a Cessna 310 (unknown dates)
and a Piper PA-42 (Jan 13 1997 to Apr 21 1997) probably not long enough to paint the numbers on the aircraft, that aircraft was exported to Denmark.
Cessna Aircraft Company has the number reserved right now (presumably to put on a new airplane is my guess)

American Airlines use to have a Boeing 727-223 that was registered N6809 (cn 19484/560). AA fleet number was #809. The ship flew with AA from 1968 to 1994. Perhaps this was what you are looking for?
