It doesn't surprise me that EK are starting a Moscow route, as there always seems to be huge numbers of Russians in Dubai.

Nice to see EK expanding its route network.

As we are talking about EK, does anyone know if EK provide overnight stay in hotel if your connecting flight is after 8hrs. Outbound and inbound.

Thanks...

P.s. how are you doing, Airmale. Chat to you soon.

Will Emirates current A330s operate the new routes, or will they be acquiring some more?

GF-A330 I'm OK and looking forward to it, by the way can anyone tell me what this EK 744F is not wearing the airlines livery and at Shenzen, China?

Emirates are also adding a new double daily service from Manchester to Dubai from 1st June again operated by an A330-200, makes EK so much easier to sell from Manchester with this new flight

It's really not surprising to see EK starting service to Lagos. With those extremist Muslim terrorist gaining a foothold in Nigeria (i.e. Miss Universe riots), the route should do well financially.

WOW. this is one fast growing airline. It is going to be amazing to see Emirates in a few years with all new 777-300s maybe the 777-300ER, A380 and A340-500.

They will be flying all over the place.

Jmc1975, Nigeria has always had a high Muslim population (I think it's predominately Muslim and has a population of c.90m).

Let's not get into anti-Muslim flamebaits here, but my big concern about operating to somewhere like Nigeria is (a) foreign exchange and (b) corruption - which is endemic in Nigeria.

Wrong. Nigeria is nearly 50/50 Christian/Muslim.

Also, EK are re-looking at the US routes. Don't be surprised if they decided to postpone the start.

Not suprised at the least, EK's route network is growing like wildfire with rather "Untraditional" routes like Moscow and Shanghai. No suprise there again as DXB is fast becoming a red hot tourist destination for people around the world.

A conflict with Iraq could possibly thwart Emirates inaugural services to North America.
