Taesa DC-9 Crashed, 18 Dead

Wed Nov 10, 1999 2:29 pm

From Airdisaster.com

A TAESA DC-9 crashed on takeoff from Uruapan, Mexico. Only 11 passengers and 7 crew were aboard. I assume one person on the ground was killed as well.

Sorry,

I misread the report. No word if anyone on the ground was injured.

The DC-9 was enroute to Mexico City from Uruapan and was airborne only a few minutes after take off when it dove into a inaccessible area around 7pm. The flight from Tijuana arrived in Uruapan where most of the passengers deplaned before the flight continued to Mexico City.
