Scottys and others; I flew on my first and last Northwest 727, N202US, on December 6 , 2002 from DTW to PBI (Palm Beach International). Actually I wanted to go to Miami but I especially chose this more expensive flight and took the local train from PBI, especially to log a NW 727 (I love the plane and since 2000 I flew Iberia, Delta, ATA, United, Pan Am III, Aerolineas Internacionales (Mexicana was changed to a A-320) and now Northwest 727).
It was a great flight. We took off from freezing and snowy DTW and even while we were full to capacity it climbed amazingly quick for a 722. The interior still looked quite fresh and clean. Service on the 2,5 hour flight were drinks and a granola bar (because it was a morning flight, in the afternoons and evenings they serve a small bag of pretzils). At PBI, I waited to watch my NW 727 take off again, a sight I probably would never see again (a few days later, I even saw no NW 727s when I changed planes again at DTW, arrived by DC-9).
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?
