Vision Problems

Wed Nov 10, 1999 10:26 pm

One question please, is it right that sometimes pilots have vision problems due to the fact that they adapt their eyesight all the time watching the sky without real landmark? It is said that their eyes are so used to that they need to refer many times on cockpit instruments to readapt. Kidding or reality?

Its the same as driving. You look out the windshield for a long time, then look at the dashboard.

First I've heard of that kind of "problem". I think it's more of a phenomenon than a problem.

Best Regards,
