Whats A SIA 744 And Air India 744 Doing At LGW

Are these 2 744's on divert from LHR due to snow? Regs are VT ESM Air India and 9V SPG Singapore Airlines.

Not shut down, but most likely due to extended holding times these two a/c had to divert as they were low on fuel.

Although it's a bit of a running joke that in the UK, as soon as there is a bit of slightly extreme weather, everything grinds to a halt. I think the main reasons are that we don't get many extremes of weather, so no companies/councils/governments have wanted to spend the extra cash for "Just in case" scenarios, and are prepared to put up with the inconvenience for a couple of days until it passes.
