i heard that one of the destinations might be SFO. well, would make sense since cargo plays a major role on the SFO flights. however, i´m puzzled why they would go for an A346 without first class (if they have only a two-class layout) since there´s quite a load of high-yield pax.
LH conducted a couple of route proving flights with an A346. among the destinations served were SFO and SIN. so could that be possibly an additional indication?
SAA is supposed to operate their A346s on the JNB-FRA runs, so perhaps LH is also considering assigning their A346s to JNB-CPT?
in addition, LH once mentioned that there are a couple of routes which don´t necessarily require a First Class service, and they´d be better of with only Business and Eco on a couple of routes. i believe one of the destinations mentioned was YVR. well, since it´s served by the only remaining 742s which offer only 8 First Class seats (744: 16 First Class) it may indicate that F is not as important on that sector > two-class A346s ???
so i´d go for SFO, JNB, YVR and possibly SIN as destinations served by the A346s. but who knows? i don´t.
If only pure sweetness was offered, why's this bitter taste left in my mouth.
