So Lymanm, you're not flying, and thousands of others aren't either because of the taxes. That means lost revenue for the airlines, lost taxes for the government, lost revenues for the destination cities, but of course the brilliant government somehow thinks that having the useless security fees will make up for that. I still think as a country we are losing MORE money by having the security fee than we are making.
I'd much rather the government receive more tax money from people travelling, and from the income tax returns of more employed people plus profitable airlines, rather than the stupid security fee. WHY AREN'T THE AIRLINES BUSTING CHRETIEN'S AND COLLENUT'S BALLS OVER THIS??? They should file a suit against the government for lost business (even if they don't have a real case, at least it would get the attention of the public and it might get some progress).
