EK Double Daily Into SYD From 26th Oct

Thu Jan 23, 2003 11:01 pm

taken from the YSSY messageboard site... http://www.vpmag.com/cgi-bin/yssy/msgboard/UltraBoard.pl

"According to Sabre the new EK nonstop flights from DXB to SYD v/v have been loaded. Only thing is that it is showing the equipment as a 330. I assume they mean 345. This is in addition to EK411/410."

The new schedules are:
EK413 SYD/DXB 2200/0540+1 330
EK412 DXB/SYD 1015/0710+1 330

The two EK flights seem to leave within an hour of each other. EK 411 leaves Sydney at 21.20 or so, I don't know how they will fill those 600 odd seats per day. Maybe we will get some cheaper airfares now with EK? If given the choice, I will continue to go with EK 411, the stop in Singapore is much better.

It's a non stop flight between Sydney and Dubai? Wow.

If it is n/s (as it seems to be), it must be a 345; this route is 7,480 miles n/s, well outside the range of a 330.

I'm surprised it departs DXB at that time of day on such a long flight; I'd have thought temperatures would already be in the 90s by then, which would surely affect performance and payload, even on a 345.
