"Security Risk" Pilots Suspended By Gov't

Very alarming article:

Is this a bit over-reactionary or what? I certainly agree w/ those quoted (pres. of AOPA and ALPA).

I'm all for finding and getting rid of pilots that may be a security risk, but I fear this is too much like a witch hunt. Hopefully this will be changed.

Not that it's been implimented yet, but if this power is ever used how many white middle-class pilots will be suspended? And just how many pilots who happened to be called "Ahmed" or "Ali" will be suspended?

Land of the free indeed.
