Balkan Holidays & Hemus Air

Tue Jan 28, 2003 11:35 pm

Hemus Air TU-154s seem to be quite a common sight at a lot of UK airports at the moment, most of which are in the colours of Balkan Holidays.

I've noticed that whilst some of the flights operate with the HMS flight prefix, most operate with the BGH prefix, and the flights are operated under the Balkan Holidays or B H Air banner. Is B H Air actually registered as a carrier, as the 3-letter code is not registered on the ICAO 3-letter codes list. If not, why are the flights not simply operated with the HMS prefix??

Also, are the B H Air TU-154s in the same seating config as those operated on Hemus Air scheduled services? What are the config(s)?

Both, the aircraft used on Hemus Air's scheduled services and on Balkan Holidays' charter flights are equipped with 157 Economy Class seats.
