YYZ 02/01

Thu Jan 30, 2003 10:05 pm

Hello Torontonians, I'm once again in the evil city! If it's not too cold and if we're not snowed in, waiting for the army to dig us out (big if) it would be fun to check out the big show at YYZ on Saturday. Let me know!
buhh bye

I'll be in "La Belle Provence" skiing at Tremblant this weekend, (5 day weekend for us) so I won't be able to make it unfortunately.

Next time, as always.

I've never seen a WestJet B737 up close.

You guys have any of those in Toronto?

Yes Andy! You'll see them mixing with AC & BA 744's at YYZ. I dont think the WJ 737's mix with much at YHM though!  Big grin

Slawko does some of the website updating, and works the odd weekend when he's in the Toronto area. I work weekdays when neither boss is available, as both work full time jobs. I'm higher up in the Threshold food chain, but that's dangerous, because both bosses are way past 250 lbs, with corresponding appetites!

LOL Captaingomes.

The reason I'm asking is because the other day I ordered a NW A320 Dragon from thresholdaviation.com

I recently came back from a trip to Taiwan and I'm trying to get Dragons of what I flew on the trip. I can't find ANYTHING Northwest in YYC for the life of me, only NW cargo. On the website the only NW you guys had listed was the A320. I was curious if by any chance you have the NW 744 or 742 in the store and it's just not up on the webpage yet? I'm pretty sure the 744 is a fairly new release. If you do is it possible to do a phone order or something?
I thought I'd ask, I'm having a hell of a time trying to find these things.

BTW you have good prices, even with shipping the A320 I ordered is still cheaper than what shops here sell Dragons of the same value for.  Smile

Thanks,
Kris, YYC

Kris, all of the models are on the website, everything in the store is also online...the NWA744 is a new release it should be in soon...there is a Northwest Orient 742 out as well, and that is in stock...as well as a DC-10...If you want you can add yourself to the mailing list by submitting your e-mail address on the website, or by sending an e-mail to the store info@thresholdaviation.com asking to be added to the list...all the new models are listed on an e-mail as soon as they come in...

Regarding YYZ on Saturday Feb 1st, who's going and what time? I'll be working from about 11 to 2 or so. I can't stay much longer than that, unfortunately. Lymanm, you pick the wrong weekends to come to Toronto!

We should get hundreds of people to call the store for no reason, just to keep Nuno on his toes.

HEY NUNO, was that you in the VW today at around 2:30 at Threshold Aviation???????? I went inside and was talking to one of the owners and he was saying that you were just outside in your car. When I pulled up there there was a guy in a VW but I didn't know who that was so I went in the store. By the time I thought it could have been you, the car had left. Well if that was you, I was that guy who pulled up in the Green Mini van and I wore the black sun glasses. Let me know if you saw me there. I was also wering the blue/white snowboard coat with dark blue jeans.

Damn! I saw you show up in the green Chrysler minivan, but I didn't think it could have been you or anybody else I would have known. Lymanm was in the store at the time. I was in a hurry at the time. Too bad you didn't get the owner to call my cell phone. Well, next time hopefully!

Yeah that was you, shit!!! Man I should have said something. Oh well I didn't leave empty handed, I bought a small dyecast A340-500 for my best frined who I sometimes fly with, its his 23rd bday on Wed so i thought that would be a cool gift. I will come for sure next time and stick around for a bit longer. I will e-mail you next time and let you know what time I will be down. I tried to make it for 2 PM but I ended up working out longer at the gym this morn then thought I would be. Damn!!! I will also call the store from my cell phone too. But all in all it was good I saw the ACA340 with the Star Alliance in today.
