"Song" Paint Scheme

Fri Jan 31, 2003 5:18 am

Hi everyone,

I thought it would be fun to see how the new Song Livery will look like, especially since we really haven't seen any yet. So I went ahead and started to draw it out.
This is only the beginning, but have a look and post your comments.

Thanks!

dude.

Delta already released an image of the paint scheme. No one replied because you are speculating on something that has already been revealed.

Hey "Dude",

That image provided by Delta is small and unclear. I thought I would be doing some people here a favor by drawing a larger image of the livery, so that we may have a better idea of how it will look like.

Sorry for my efforts...

Nice work, Norbert! I, for one, appreciate your efforts. I'm glad we finally have a better image than the small, fuzzy one from the press release kit.

Just out of curiosity...what's up with the flag on the fuselage? Looks like the flag of Puerto Rico!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Ha ha....  Smile
When I shrunk/compressed the image down for viewing on the web the U.S. Flag became a little distorted, thus looking like the Puerto Rico flag.
Sorry, but thanks for the comment!!

I'll add my thanks to your efforts, much appreciated in the larger scale.

I do have a question for all. What exactly is the icon/logo? Does it represent anything? All I can see is an overgrown tadpole, or perhaps a fly fishing rod. Since it's been trademarked, surely it must have an identity?

That scheme actually doesn't look bad! Thanks for enlarging it Norbert- we can actually see what it looks like now, compared to DL's little picture!

Hi all!
No, I'm not the "Norbert" from Lila Design Studio. I hope that I didn't give that impression.
Anyway, I'm not too crazy about this livery; however, it kind of grows on you after a while.
As for the logo/icon: My guess is that it signifies getting from one point to the other, but I have no clue what the word "song" has to do with aviation or travel.

Cheers!

Not sure I like this one yet. Maybe once I see it on an aircraft my opinion will change. Overall, I wonder if this will help Delta out. Time will tell.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but is "Song Airlines" replacing Delta Express?

Thanks Norbert for enlarging the pic.
Delta- Jesus couldnt you come up with something better ,not only is the name horrible and unimaginative but the c/s shows very little effort. When I heard lime green I was thinking something like the former JMC livery- but low and behold we got something pretty bizarre (in a negative way).
