Cathay's New Economy Class On A346

Fri Jan 31, 2003 6:47 pm

I was trying to look for Cathay's new economy class product on their new A346, but cannot seem to find it anywhere. Not even on their airline website.

I've heard that there are new seats and also new PTVs that are about 9 inches. Is there anyone who can confirm this for me?

Can anyone also kindly enlighten me about their new economy class product?

Thank you!

I'm not sure if this will answer your question, but I ran across this CX A346 cabin photo yesterday:

The PTV's look pretty big to me.

SOHK wrote a trip report HKG-TPE-HKG in the Trip Reports section in which he describes the new Y class seat on the A346.

The new Economy class has been fitted on to 15 of 19 747s and features new slimline seats, the usual spiel about ergonomics etc. and new fabrics.

I agree, CX haven't even mentioned one word about their new Y seat!! I suppose they don't want other passengers who don't know an A346 from a 747 to get their expectations up!
