Hi,
I do think that the Boeing 7E7 will succeed, It will be a regular plane like today exist with some advantages over the others. Many airlines that operate 757 and/or 767 will have to replace this airplanes and the 7E7 will be perfect in about 10 (really don't know when will they release it), remember that in 2010 many 757 and 767 will have 25 to 30 years of age.

My to cents.

Greetings

I thinks its too early to start thinking about that. Let's wait more concrete info and development to move along.

It has a better chance than the SC, but i wonder if iy will become what the 747XQLR has become to the 747, to the 777.

Boeing has tried to upgrade the 747 to:
747 Stretch and 747XQLR

Boeing has tried to upgrade the 767-300 to:
767-600

Hopefully it wont just be an "upgrade" of the 757/767 like those others "upgrades" (i know not a fair comparison.. but a fun one for sure!)

I see it as successful but time will tell. If there is the right market in place at intro time then no problem. I still believe that sonic cruiser would have been successful but for unfortunate change of circumstance due to airlines fiscal troubles.

It will be good for replacing 767s, A300s, A310s, and judging by when it will be in service A332s maybe. Sounds like a success to me. As opposed to Sonic Cruisers and Super Jumbos  Insane .

I scoff at all the people who try to speculate this early though. Keep in mind how early this aircraft is in development...it's not even a fetus yet  Big grin .

Scotty - I don't know of any 767-600 plans, I think it was a euphemism.

B4e- I doubt it will replace 332s. The 330-200 is a much newer plane than the 330-300, and incorporates a good number of new technologies. Airbus is good about rolling new technologies into their planes as time goes by, for example, both the A340-300 and the A330s are getting more and better FBW controls, new avionics, as well as an updated flight deck.

Whatever engine technologies Boeing drives for this plane will be directly applicable to the A330, and Airbus will be quick to offer it.

The 7E7 looks like a small 777 with 764 style wing extensions. Its nothing like a 767.
