Low-fare Codesharing

Tue Feb 04, 2003 11:21 pm

Hi,

I heard Virgin Blue entered agreements with United Airlines, but I did not find anything in their website. Is there any major carrier that codeshares with low-fare airlines?

Thank you!

British Airways has codeshare agreements with both AirTran Airways and America West Airlines.

British Airways does not have a codeshare agreement with AirTran, only an interline agreement, which means a passenger can transfer off a BA flight onto an AirTran flight at the same city without have to recheck their bags or recheck in at the ticketing desks and vice versa.

I think that LTU, Air Portugal and Emirates have a codeshare agreement with flydba (formerly: Deutsche BA).
