Thu Feb 06, 2003 9:35 pm

Some of you may be interested I have just found out from a friend the aircraft allocation details of the Britannia 767-200 fleet for the forthcoming Summer 2003 (May to October) season.

The allocation of Boeing 757-200 and 767-300 aircraft is due to be released next week, I will post it here if anyone is interested.

G-BYAA (25058/362), based BHX 01/05 to 31/10

G-BYAB (25139/373), based MAN 01/05 to 31/10

G-BRIF (24736/296), based BHX 01/05 to 19/06 then GLA 19/06 to 31/07 then back to BHX 31/07 to 31/10

G-BRIG (24757/299), based NCL 01/05 to 31/10 (also operating "whiskey patterns" to MME throughout the season)

The 767-200 fleet is operating to 22 european destinations from the UK this Summer, with a total of 3,094 planned flights.

Rick-

About a month ago, Britannia had a Corsair 747-300 come into SFB in place of their 767. I've heard that Britannia is going to use this plane for some of its routes during the summer. Is this true?

I haven't heard anything about that, but will ask around. There is certainly nothing in the schedules yet to suggest it.

Rick

Here's what we're expecting in "rainy" MAN:

Thursday 13th Feb
Corsair B-747.300 ETA ?; ETD 22.25 [BAL698A]

Saturday 15th Feb
Corsair B-747.300 ETA 04.20; ETD ? [BAL698B]

Believe that is a Barbados flight.

David,

Yes I knew about the 747 use on the cruise charters, but certainly haven't heard of any longer-term arrangement. And it's a non-stop Acapulco flight:

BY698A/MAN2255/ACA1030/030213/743/FGSKY
BY698B/ACA1855/MAN0420/030214/743/FGSKY

The aircraft must position to/from Manchester on regular Corsair callsign and flight id, as it does not appear on the BY system, so unfortunately I can't help you with those "?" times.

Monarch also doing the BAL632A/B for you Rick on A300 via YMX, because the Customer not too keen on CRL

also Rick - surely your bases are not registration specific, your Ops wont waste too much time trying to keep the right airframe at the right base because it wont last long.

Eddie,

Absolutely, should have noted those are simply provisional / idealogical / artifical. By June I can guarantee they won't be at the same place, that's if they start off there in the first place.

The idea I think is just as a check to make sure / demonstrate that they have enough physical aircraft to operate the flights.... and don't call me Shirley!  Big grin
