Embraer 170...How's It Coming?

Wed Feb 12, 2003 8:36 am

Any updates on the Embraer 170? When is first delivery scheduled, and to whom? Swiss?

Also, how is the Emb 170 going to compare to the RJ-70/85 as far as range and operating cost goes?

Any other interesting information about the 170?

Thanks,

I really hope the EMB 170 or 190 will be sufficiently powered to take off from places like ASE.

I doubt they will - they'll be using similar CF34 engines to the CRJ700/900, and we know those are far from STOL aircraft.

hopefully with the new EMB-170/190 airlines will stop flying the larger fuel guzzlers and switch to smaller more effiecient models. Save $$$ for the company and the passnegers!

Increase commercial aviations potential! Big grin
