Dont Track Us On Radar?

Fri Feb 14, 2003 12:25 pm

I know this is about a USAF plane but I think more people here can answer the question.

In the remarks it says the crew told ATC not to follow them on radar. Now I have a few questions.

1) How can a C-5 fly about in secret !!. Its a bloody C-5 not a F-111.
2) Is it legal to tell ATC you can't track us on radar ??
3) Was this going into OZ or out ?
4) Could this have anything to do with that place in OZ like Area51 in the USA.

I did hear a year or two ago about a AN-22 flying into that place in OZ with some Japanese fighter to do testing.

I don't have any idea. A C-5 can't really hide from radar.
Last year 1,944 New Yorkers saw something and said something.

They can shut off their transponder on the airplane, but radar will still get a primary target return...

guess they'll just put white out over their track.  Smile
