Sun. Nov 1, 2009, Emirates 380 Departing YYZ...

Sat Feb 15, 2003 10:44 am

This is from Emirates' 2002 Annual Report.

Emirates' future plan is:

We amended our 10-year plan to reflect the additional orders (detailed by the Chairman and Group Managing Director) for new aircraft and new destinations. This is an hour-by-hour detailed design for the airline up to the year 2010. For example on Sunday, November 1st 2009 we have planned for an Airbus A380 Super Jumbo to depart Toronto for Dubai at 2240 hours local time; and on Monday 2nd April 2007, our daily A330, EK133 will depart Moscow at 1845 hours for the nonstop flight to Dubai.

So is this hinting Emirates plans launching Canada flight with A380....?

Mark your calendars, YYZ spotters! Only six years, eight months, 17 days to wait!

Very interesting that they would have such a detailed plan. I wonder how close they really expect to remain to it. Do other airlines do this?
Next flight.... who knows.

Sounds to me like the planners at Emirates have too much time on their hands!  Smile

Yeah, hopefully they launches flight to Moscow or to Kiev at least cause now it is very hard to get from Dubai to Vilnius, you have to fly to AMsterdam or Frankfurt, which is much farther... I remember those good old days than Lithuanian Airlines flew to Dubai with their Yakovelev Yak-42 two times a day (with two fuel stops at Larnaca (Cyprus) and Burgas (Bulgary)), but now because of financial condition they no longer does so, although they has aircraft which could make Vilnius-Dubai non-stop now... But now the the farthest Lithuanian route is Vilnius-Paris, good old days of Vilnius-Dubai, Vilnius-Larnaca, Vilnius-Rome, Vilnius-Madrid, Vilnius-Istanbul routes and plans for Vilnius-Chicago route routes could only be remembered...
