Jetsgo Fleet

Thu Feb 20, 2003 6:24 am

I just stumbled upon this info last night while looking at Jetsgo's fleet. Their MD-80 are a mix of 83's AND 82's

MD-83's are C-GKLK, C-GKLN, C-GKLQ they are equiped with JT8D-219 engine

MD-82's are C-GKLJ, C-FKLC, C-GKLR they are equiped with the JT8D-217C engine.

Does this affect the range of the aircraft and performance? I wonder what the 7th aircraft will be?

Information is from http://www.jetphotos.net there is a census at the bottom left corner.

Grant the census gets the aircraft type from the MSN number, but I think that all of the SG airplanes are 83's the 82's having been converted by Korean/American/Boeing...

Grant is correct. Jetsgo operates 4 MD-83's and 2 MD-82's. 3 MD-83's and the 2 MD-82's came from Korean. The 4th MD-83 came from Reno Air/American.

I don't know the source of the 7th MD-80.

Grant raises a good point....I wonder if the 2 MD-82's are kept off the YYZ-YVR route due to their shorter range?

Neil.

I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.

How about the YUL-YVR route....no way a MD-82 could make it!! LOL
