Does anyone have information regarding increase service of American Airlines 737-800 at Dallas /Ft.Worth airport?

That might be the broadest possible topic to cover in the world.

Are you curious about a specific route?

They aren't taking delivery of any 738s right now, but they have many many more on order I believe.

I think AA likes to use 737's at MIA because they can fly both domestic and international (overwater) routes. Since most of our S80's are only partially overwater equiped they can be of more use at DFW, where most flights aren't going overwater. I don't know for sure though, just a guess. I've wondered the same thing myself. We used to fly them out of JFK, but (thank God) now they're gone.

For competitive reasons, AA introduced 737 service on the longer west coast-to-ORD routes where IFE (movies) are (or were) an important marketing tool. That naturally lead to increased ORD 737 service to east coast cities. DFW was last on the list for 737 service and while it has been introduced, the increase at DFW has been put on hold pending a recovery in the industry.
