Could RJ Replace Old Tu-134.

Sat Feb 22, 2003 12:49 pm

Given that the Tu-134 holds about 70 some people and that the Tu-334 isn't selling itself very well, couldn't a CRJ-700, which holds similar pax load be ideal. After all Aeroflot seems more keen to buying western aircraft more than Russian.

If only the Tu-134 operators could afford them.
The new Emb 170 is a good alternative too.

The Tu-334 hasn't entered service yet. But there are several orders. The Tu-324 will also be a possible solution.

Malev replaced the Tu-134 by the Fokker 70:
