What's The New PAN Am Like?

Sun Feb 23, 2003 2:17 am

Does anyone have any info on the new Clipper Line. The new PAN AM.
Just to make this an interesting post, a lot of startup airlines appear to be hoaxes, why are so many people still trying?

It might be worth your while to do a search for "Pan Am III", or similar derivations. There has been a pretty good amount of info posted on them.

They fly to very limited markets in the NE US, and in FL. They are (supposedly) expanding their markets to the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. They have bases in Sanford (north of Orlando) FL, and Portsmouth (North of Boston), NH.

From the start of January, their 727 service was suspended, restarting a couple of weeks ago down in Sanford, FL and Portsmouth, NH. They continued to operate J31's out of Portsmouth to various points in New England.

They aren't exactly a start up, they've been around for three years.. But they aren't exactly what you would call a "consistent" company either, with consistent routes.
