According to Qantas' website, there are no two class 744's, but thier 743's are.

I'm not a real aeronautical engineer, I just play one on Airliners.net.

QF 2 Class 744 (QF brand them as 74J):

VH-OJA to VH-OJJ (10 units)

66J 366Y (+ 3 crew rest in Y)

Zone A J 22 seats Rows 1-4 are 2x2
Row 5 is 2x2x2

Zone B J 14 seats Rows 23-24 2x2x2
Y 36 seats Rows 25-27 3x4x3
Row 28 3x3

Zone F J 30 seats Rows 11-18 2x2
(Upstairs) Row 19 2 (19A/19B)

Zones C D & E Y 3 x 4 x 3 standard 744 config

Minor differences in the old F galley being reconfigured, and a new galley on the starboard side running the length of the fuselage from door 2R, down 6 rows towards 3R. (a la the old 74L config).
29ABC to 33ABC are the only seats in those rows - the new galley takes up the space under the upperdeck stairway and the starboard side of the cabin in that area.

The 74J offers an additional 38 seats over the previous max cap QF 744 config, and has had a makeover of lavs and lockers, galleys and lighting enhancements.
J offers the "Dreamtime" seat and Y the slimline - both at regular QF seat pitch.

Cheers.

Thank you, AI, for that detailed info. Any seatmaps available for viewing?

There are because I've seen them, but don't know what their url's were. Check the QF forum on Flyer Talk - there was a link posted there at one stage.
Cheers.

Yes Al is correct about that 2-class information.

On the seat pitch, standard Economy seat pitch is 31" although the slimline seat back design gives passengers the space of 32" which really makes a difference.
