Monarch Airlines

Wed Feb 26, 2003 12:22 am

I am flying on Monarch in September from London Gatwick to Chania on the island of Crete in Greece. I was wondering if anyone has traveling on Monarch and can tell me how it was. Similar to some of the Canadian Charters that I have been on like Canada 3000 or Air Transat?? Also does anyone know what kind of aircraft I will most likely be on?? Any info would be great.

I've flown with Monarch on MAN-TFS-MAN A300 and EDI-LPA-EDI A320. I found their service to be very good, however, on the A320 I found the legroom a wee bit cramped.

I few on a Monarch B757-200, LTN-BGR-SFD, a long time ago now, but i remember the service was very good, and I had the emergency exit seats so had plenty of legroom.

Also flew them between LGW-PMI, and BHX-TFS, also very good.

No i think about it, i remember doing LGW-AGP on an A300-600 too - that one was really nice, however, I was an air cadet at the time, and was en-route to a weeks camp in Gibraltar!!
