Can any super-spotters give me the history of this aircraft?

According to Jetphotos.net's census (formerly Bill Harms' site info, good stuff!):

N649US

Delivered 12/22/1987 to Piedmont (judging from the previous reg. #, N614P) & picked up by US after the merger. Selcal BF-GP with CF6-80 engines. (Also immortalized in Schabak's 1:600 USAir 767 model.  Big grin)

That's not how it's laid out on at http://www.jetphotos.net/census, but I paraphrased it so it was easier to understand.

I do believe it was the first 767 to be painted in the full USAir colours (red/silver/blue 1989).

CF-CPI- You're right- the caption of the picture of the USAir colors says that it was the first in that scheme.
