CSA And The A310-300

Sun Mar 02, 2003 4:24 am

CSA Czech Airlines will lease a third Airbus A310-300 this summer and add one 737-400 and one 737-500. The backbone of the short haul fleet is the 737 in both the -400 (the last 400 built was delivered to CSA two years ago) and in the -500 series, along with ATR-42/72 planes. Why doesn't CSA go all Boeing and lease some 767-200ER's or even the 767-300ER (maybe the A330 is too big a plane for their network)? Those A310's have been in service now since the early 1990's, operating the PRG-JFK/EWR and PRG-YUL routes, as well as PRG-BKK-SIN.
